Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B to create a unique mix. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's the name of Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing piano and singing at church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music in Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single featuring her voice was called Stalk You a house 12 issued only in Japan It has been remixed since by a variety of producers and has become an essential part in her live show. Her voice was also added to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, Tyler Perry hired her as the primary keyboardist in his stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to be the choral leader for the production. Sunshine gained attention throughout the four performances in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
